Dog Days

Iférouane may be a desert hound from the Sahel of West Africa,

but she runs with field trial labrador retrievers, so her affinity for water is unique amongst Azawakh. In fact she is (as we say in retriever tongue) more water-y than some field labs. I tried to catch her swimming today, but no such luck. Some d*mn dog ran behind me and bumped my elbow while I was snapping my camera at the 'perfect' shot. I got a blue shot alright, as you will see below, but it ain't water. Anyway, a few photos from today's attempt. Iférouane and Carla enjoy the wind in their face. Carla the lab is usually out of camera range, so this is unusual. Carla is a Chopper daughter. The beautiful Enayat just started on her hunt - a rare shot. Tahatmellet in motion as always, and one of the image shows the ranch in the background. No shortage of space here.
